Xiaomi claims, Zero to full charge on the smartphone in 8 minutes

Xiaomi claims to have a record of charging smartphones from zero to 100 percent in the fastest time. The Chinese company has made such a claim in the case of both charging cable and wireless charging technology.

Testing on a 4,000 mAh converted Mi11 Pro smartphone, Xiaomi said the smartphone took about 6 minutes to fully charge on a 200-watt 'hypercharge' system. And 120 watt wireless charging system took about 15 minutes.

Chinese smartphone makers are constantly competing for charging speeds. Occasionally there are reports of record-breaking charges for the fastest time. In most cases, however, the smartphones available in the market do not have that technology.

Xiaomi made the announcement on Twitter. They also show by charging there.

For example, a couple of years ago, Xiaomi announced that a 100-watt charging system can fully charge a 4,000 mAh battery in 18 minutes. However, when the 'M10' Ultra came on the market last year, it was seen that it was taking 23 minutes to be fully charged at 120 watts. Of course, the smartphone was a bit big, it had a 4 and a half thousand milliampere battery.

Another Chinese company, Apo, has always been known for its fast charging technology. Last year, they showed a 4,000 milliampere smartphone with a 125-watt charging system fully charged in 20 minutes (Xiaomi did that a year ago). However, Apo's current flagship smartphone 'Find X3 Pro' charges only 75 watts. Not less than that, but users are not getting what it showed.

In any case, advances in technology should be welcomed. Even if not today, one day we may get the benefit of charging the smartphone from zero to 100 percent in just eight minutes. The sooner that day comes, the better.
